1. About Sift
Sift is a personalized news and intelligence app that helps you track companies, people, policies, sectors, and events that matter to you. Sift uses automated systems to monitor, classify, and summarize news content, and to generate briefings based on your followed entities.
2. Beta Status
Sift is currently in private beta. Features may change, break, or produce incomplete results. The service is provided for evaluation purposes, and we make no guarantees about availability, accuracy, or feature stability during the beta period.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Sift. By creating an account or using the service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
4. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach.
5. News, Summaries, and AI-Generated Outputs
Sift uses automated systems, including AI and machine learning models, to process news content, generate summaries, and produce briefings. These automated outputs may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, or misleading. You should verify important information against original sources before relying on it. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any AI-generated content.
6. No Professional Advice
Nothing on Sift constitutes financial, investment, legal, tax, medical, or political advice. All content is provided for informational purposes only. You should consult qualified professionals for advice specific to your situation.
7. Third-Party Content
Articles, publisher content, and linked materials belong to their respective owners. Sift may summarize, classify, or link to third-party content but does not claim ownership over it. We are not responsible for the accuracy or legality of third-party content.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the underlying data, models, or systems of Sift. You may not use Sift to attack, disrupt, or degrade the service. Reselling, sublicensing, or commercial redistribution of Sift or its outputs is prohibited.
9. Intellectual Property
Sift's software, brand, entity graph, ranking systems, intelligence features, and all original content created by Sift are owned by Sift or its licensors. These terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in Sift's intellectual property beyond the limited right to use the service as provided.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Sift if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if your continued access poses a security or legal risk. Upon termination, your right to use Sift ceases immediately.
11. Disclaimers
Sift is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be accurate, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Your use of Sift is at your own risk.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sift and its owners, operators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Sift shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
